Trading tournaments in Ghana
Ghana is the lowest-density African market in this wave. No indigenous Ghanaian trading tournament was identified matching the JSE Investment Challenge / NSE Investment Challenge / FXPesa Master of the Markets template — GSE has no flagship simulator competition surfaced. GISI (Ghana Investment and Securities Institute) runs a Securities Industry Course (Foundation / Intermediate / Legal / Professional levels) but that's certification education, not a tournament. Databank's Student Investment Account is a savings product, not a competition. The Bank of Ghana + SEC Ghana launched a 12-month regulatory sandbox under the VASP Act 2025 (Act 1154) with 11 firms admitted in Q1 2026, but the Feb 2026 BoG marketing-restriction directive explicitly cuts off tournament-as-marketing patterns for sandbox firms. Prop firm + offshore forex is the most accessible path: FTMO, FundedNext, HFM, Exness, Deriv all accept GH residents; HFM Score and Roar Africa Nov 2025 – Feb 2026 explicitly lists Ghana. Roqqu (NG-domiciled) serves GH retail; cross-border Nigerian broker spillover is significant.

Regulation
SEC Ghana regulates capital markets; Bank of Ghana handles banking + forex + the emerging crypto framework. The Virtual Asset Service Providers Act 2025 (Act 1154) enacted with BoG + SEC as joint regulators; 12-month sandbox launched Q1 2026, phased licensing rollout through 2026. Marketing/mass promotion of crypto products restricted by Feb 2026 directive — sandbox firms cannot run retail tournament promotions without express authorization. No fully licensed CASPs yet. Black Star Brokerage had forex license issues with BoG (alleged dropped without notice).
