Which brokers and platforms run trading competitions?

Trading competitions are run by four kinds of operator, and we track 89 of them in total: 52 crypto exchanges and perp protocols (Bybit, Binance, OKX, KuCoin, MEXC, BingX, Bitget, Hyperliquid and others), which run the most frequent cash-prize events; 16 forex brokers (XM, Exness, RoboForex, FBS and others), usually demo contests because regulators restrict live-money prize draws; 13 prop firms (FTMO, Topstep, FundedNext, Apex), whose evaluations run continuously rather than as dated events and pay in funded accounts rather than cash; and 5 championship circuits (Robbins WCTC since 1984, the U.S. Investing Championship since 1983), which are real-money and judged on audited percentage return. Right now 16 of these platforms have an open tournament.

Crypto exchanges (CEX)

Centralized exchanges run frequent trading tournaments — usually USDT-perp leaderboards with $50K-$1M prize pools.

Decentralized perp exchanges (DEX)

On-chain perp protocols. Tournaments often pair leaderboards with native-token rewards or points programs.

Prop firms

Funded-trader programs with timed challenge competitions. Prize is usually a funded account scaling up to $200K-$2M.

Forex brokers

Retail FX brokers running monthly or quarterly trading contests on majors and CFDs.

Flagship championships

Annual real-money championships like the Robbins World Cup Trading Championship — trophy events with sponsor coverage.

Paper / demo platforms

Charting platforms running paper-money contests so anyone can compete without putting real capital at risk.
