Bahrain is a small but historically important Gulf market for trading competitions. CBB (Central Bank of Bahrain) was the first GCC regulator to issue a crypto-asset license (Rain, 2019). Bahrain Bourse (BHB) runs TradeQuest — now in its 25+ year, the longest-running such program in the region — for high school and university students, with virtual portfolios of BD 500,000 + US$4M to invest in BHB-listed and NYSE companies. The 2025-2026 edition concluded April 30 2026: 25 schools + 10 universities, ~225 students + 38 advisors (BIBF won universities category). Regulation

CBB (Central Bank of Bahrain) was first GCC regulator to license crypto assets (Rain, 2019); CoinMENA and BitOasis also hold CBB licenses.
