Travis Hoium is a Minneapolis-based investor and one of the more transparent voices in the long-horizon, asymmetric-bets lane of US markets. An engineer by training who spent his early career at 3M and later co-founded the REM5 virtual-reality lab, he holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School and has invested for more than 25 years.
