When OKEx tallied its third Elite Trading Team Contest in August 2020, the winning captain wasn't a Singapore prop desk or an English-speaking US trader. It was Erik.Chu, leading a team that took its name from a Vietnamese financial-handbook brand — sotaytaichinh.vn — and posted a 62.08% yield over a single month. The leaderboard finished above 230 other captains; the field had moved more than $700 million in notional volume in the process. OKEx's then-CEO Jay Hao singled the team out by name in the press release — a rarity for an exchange that, before and since, has overwhelmingly published its winners as anonymized handles.

Beyond the contest itself, Erik.Chu's public footprint is scarce. The press release names the team but not the trader's real-name biography, and no English- or Vietnamese-language interview surfaced in the four years after the win. What can be inferred is style: Elite Team Contest standings were driven by perpetual-swap yield over a fixed window, so the playbook that delivered 62.08% in 30 days was almost certainly leveraged directional crypto, not market-making — and almost certainly executed as a coordinated team trade book, not a single account. The story past September 2020 is unwritten in public.
