Kunal Desai

🇺🇸United States· Detroit (originally) / Florida (current)

Detroit kid who started trading in the dot-com boom, then ran the longest-tenured live day-trading bootcamp on the internet.

Desai started trading during the 1999 dot-com boom while at Michigan State, ate both the upside of late-stage tech and the downside of the bust, and credits an early mentorship under Paul Singh with helping him build a momentum-and-catalyst trading system on top of the wreckage. He founded Bulls on Wall Street (BOWS) in 2008 — the same year IU launched on the other side of the small-cap chat-room scene — and ran it as a live bootcamp from the start, distinguishing it from the chat-only education model of the era.

Bulls on Wall Street's signature is the 60-day live bootcamp. By his own reporting it has trained over 7,000 students across 79 sessions, students from 60+ countries — by sessions and by international footprint, the largest live-instruction trading bootcamp in operation. Desai trades a momentum-with-catalyst playbook focused on news, earnings and PR-driven moves in US equities and runs a daily Discord trading room for paying members. His personal X handle @kunal00 carries a live trading commentary feed; the official @bullsonwallst handle carries the marketing surface.

He has spoken on stage alongside Peter Brandt, Jack Schwager and James Dalton (Trader and Investor Summit, Traders4ACause), and is publicly accessible across LinkedIn, YouTube and X. For trading-tournaments.com, Desai is a community-founder profile rather than a leaderboard trader, but his bootcamp graduates form a meaningful share of the US small-cap retail community we are documenting elsewhere in this batch.
