Omar Barkawi's day job is systems engineering at Blue Origin in Seattle — the Jeff Bezos-founded spaceflight company. His side practice is options trading, and the Q1 2026 audit on his USIC entry in the $1M+ Enhanced Growth Division closed at +798.0%. That number puts him #1 on the user-facing leaderboard for the championship's traditional human-trader rankings, ahead of every named human competitor in the division. The BusinessWire announcement notes him second only to the AI-aided category leader (Dr. Terry Potter, +1,678.8% in HK) — but the AI-aided category is structurally separate from the human-discretionary one Barkawi runs in.
